I Can't Wait To...

I can't wait for the year-end holidays to come.

Wait, that means I still have A levels after my hols end.

Ok. I can't wait for A's to be over.

Wait. University will be even tougher than JC.

Ok ok. I can't wait for uni to be over.

Wait. Work will be miserable.

Ok ok ok. I can't wait to get retired.

Wait. I'd be old, wrinkly and rejected and all the stupid youngsters would avoid me cos they'd say I'm smelly.

I think Asians (especially Singaporeans) live too much for the future. We pray for this to end, thinking that we'll be better off in future. But "future" never seems to come.

But really, I don't know how on earth I'm gonna "enjoy the moment" right now when "right now", I'm most likely busy doing work. And there's nothing I can do about it since the system is such.

I hope in future I will have a more relaxed lifestyle where I can afford time to lie in the grass gazing stars. Ah, see. It's me waiting for "future" to come again.

I'm so gonna die thinking that I've waste my time away.

Oh. Whatever. I still need to finish studying my orgasm organic chem anyway.

36 Hours

If from now onwards, every day I have 36 hours instead of the usual 24, I would use the excess 12 hours to:

-sleep more than needed

-listen to music

-go for a massage, facial, spa

-use hair conditioner and body scrub

-study really hard

The unfortunate thing is that I don't have 36 hours. The more unfortunate thing is that I currently do none of the above within 24 hours. They can only be done if I were given 12 more hours. That's bad. Especially about the studying bit.

What would you do if you have 36 hours in a day?

Chem Teacher

My chem teacher is one strict lady. She is always demanding for us to know something. An example of her asking a question would be, "Blah blah blah? Quick! Are you sharp enough to know the answer? This is revision! I am going through what the lecturers already have!"

There was once half the class was asleep. But BF was especially attentive and managed to catch some interesting bits.

"Have you gotten the feel of it yet!"

"Regarding amides and amines, there'll be many more erections (she meant reactions) to come."

"We have been doing this in, out, in, out, in, out! When are you ever going to get it!"

Popagandhi

Adri writes so well. I wish I could too.

There's always the hope that when I grow up, I can express my thoughts coherently and sensibly too.

STOMP

Does anyone else besides me thinks that STOMP is absolutely distasteful? And really, I can't stand the endless amount of publicity they're trying to give to it.

What're You Doing Here?

Something I got off my blog tracker:

Correct me if I'm wrong...But I thought people from China are banned from owning/viewing blogs?

Anyway, the ironic thing is that I checked that anonymouse.org website out. And according to them, it allows you to surf anonymously without revealing personal information. Hmm...Guess that didn't go too well.

Selling Charity Tickets

Recently I just went to sell charity tickets. Obviously for the CIP hours. Even though they say that CIP hours are not counted anymore and there is no fixed number of hours, you are still expected to do it because you would certainly want more written in your testimonial.

Tell me, would anyone be so willing to stand for hours, smiling like an idiot, and watch half the Singaporeans ignore you when you ask them if they'd donate.

Even when you're standing there innocently, people shun you like you're magnets with similar poles.

There was once BF and I were standing pretty close to each other. I asked a woman with her daughter to donate, she rejected. When she continued walking, BF, not knowing that I had approached her already, went up to her and asked her to donate. And she actually pointed to my direction and said "donate already".

It's very dishearteninng when 1 out of 10 people you ask buys a $2 ticket from you. You have to face 9 people who either ignore you, lie to you, reject you, question your purpose repeatedly, before you finally meet one who buys the ticket.

Even though foreigners were the minority present, at least half of the tickets were bought by them. So obviously, approach the foreigners though it's not always they donate. They may still reject you, but probably still recognise your existence. I think only 1 Caucasian ignored me.

Unfortunately I'm not one of those who would willingly spend hours walking around town asking people to buy charity tickets for the needy. I'd rather do my part spending that few hours working and then giving a portion of my pay to the needy.

If you're one of those who rejects a person who is asking you to donate even before he finishes his sentence, stop it.

"Hi sir, would you like-" *gets waved off*

It's just rude. At least wait for the person to finish.

I also find it irritating when people give you fake smiles because...err...it's just disgusting and it's like you're patronising me. Guilty smiles are okay because it's only right to feel slightly guilty for being stingy.

Conclusion: Given the chance, I'd never do this again to get CIP hours.

Desperate

I'm getting so desperate for entertainment (or just a excuse to snap out of work) that I'm gonna read the papers. I never thought that this day would come.
